Did I upload this? I don’t think I did.
Basically I doodled punk dryads and I was gonna digitally paint them but my tablet died. Boo.
Rebelbagel to my art blog.

Just fucking leave me to die.

I am arting but I keep being distracted by Roxette music videos.
I completely forgot about this thing! Curses, I still need to finish it!
I have a lot of work left, like the folds (my reference didn’t work out, so I need new ones), the for now non-existent swords and the background being less… like what it is now. And make the armour more armoury in places.
But I also need to redraw Anthy’s face so she looks more sad and less “confused worry”. Why did I ruin it I had a good thing going with her face before. >:I
Today I decided I was going to draw an EXPRESSION on my self portrait! With fake tears and EVERYTHING!
Then I learned that drawing expressions on people without tennisball-sized round eyes is really hard. Well who’d have thunk it.
As a bonus: what might just be the actual worst colour palette in history.
I didn’t get to make the drapery study yesterday because my computer turned into poop and I had to reinstall Corel Painter and also it wouldn’t download any drapery pictures. So when I get home tonight I will set up my own damned drapery SEE WHAT YOU DO THEN COMPUTER.
(don’t even try to die on me computer I will draw it traditionally I swear)
Okay, I am still a beginner in this area. But the more I draw, the easier and easier it gets. And I’ve found a very easy and nice technique in how to draw a decent car.
Now, since I personally always found cars pretty boring. I decided to start drawing very old car models, since their design are more “raw” and not as stylized and modified as today’s cars. I strongly suggest you pick some cool models you find interesting when you are trying to draw something you personally don’t find interesting.
Okay, I start by sketching out a box sort of, and in each corner I draw the wheels. Even if the weels might not be visible in the end result, it’s still a good way to start.
(Please note that I actually suck at drawing wheels in certain angles, so they will be edited through these stages. So do not try to mimick exactly how I draw the wheels.)
So, wheels need protection and stuff, just like bikes have. Make sure you have a reference to use for this, so you know what kind of shape you want to give the “wheel-protection” (I have no idea what the words for car-stuff is, so imma make up my own)
Now, the reference I used have this sort of plate that more or less connects the front and back wheel-plates. It sort of serves a little bit like a one-step stair for passengers to use when they step in the car :D
Now it’s time to draw the engine. Imagine it as a half cylinder that is a bit narrow at the front and gets wider at the back.
Now we can draw uh…. “the house” lol. You know, where you sit and drive and such. It’s very simple, it’s more or less just a cube that connects with the engine-part at the front :D
And now it’s time for the last “details”, like the lights and windows and the door and stuff. I also made the back part round so it look like those roofs made out of cloth that you can pull down when it’s good weather outside. *blah blah blah*
Now, add some kawaii colors. Now you have a old classic car. TADAAH!
Rebagel all the useful things!
I have done some planning on how to improve lately (because it is needed SO BAD IT’S NOT EVEN FUNNY YOU GUYS), and I have come up with a BRILLIANT SCHEME.
Since my work hours are pretty funky (I don’t leave for work until about 10 and get back at 19.10-ish) I have two almost equal timeslots open for art every day.
My plan is therefore to focus on two things every week, one for the morning hours and one for the evening, and then transfer the one I’m having the most problems with to the next week.
That way I am practising new things constantly while not leaving behind the things I suck at.
Then I will spend my two days off (not always Saturday and Sunday) to work on comics or full-on finished pieces.
Next week I will start easy with self-portraits in colour and drapery studies. It’ll be interesting to see which one I’ll be the most shit at; I’m complete arse at colours, but my knowledge of folds are also pretty limited!
Finally having time to do a serious big digital project! So I decided to make it fanart BECAUSE I DO WHAT I WANT.
Doing it greyscale first, then colours laterz. It doesn’t look like the characters yet. Give me time. >:I
I’m going to Livestream the next step in the painting process tomorrow, if anyone’s interested.

"Or what, psycho?"
Just finished the Bone series, and golly it was good. I especially loved Smiley Bone and Bartleby, so here’s Smiley Bone and Bartleby.
